Common Questions
Do I have to be a vegan forever?
No. My approach is plant-strong, not vegan. But I won’t give you my opinion without your permission. I actually won’t choose your diet or the foods for you. You set your own agenda for what we talk about and what you eat. I can give you my opinion, but only with your permission.
What if my husband isn’t on board?
You can start this for yourself. Often husbands notice the changes (like better energy, weight loss, improved labs) and join in later.
Is this medical advice?
No. Coaching is designed to complement, not replace, your doctor’s care. We will focus on behavior changes and I will work within the bounds of coaching rather than prescribing.
What is a health coach anyways?
Health coaching is a supportive, non-judgmental space where change becomes possible.
A health coach is a behavior change expert. I help you make lasting lifestyle changes by setting meaningful health goals and building simple habits that move you toward vibrant health.
I give you support and accountability for making those choices that you decide to make. Every time we meet, we focus on your challenges, your motivations, and your next steps.
It’s important to know what health coaches do not do as well. We do not give therapy or counseling. Also, I don’t give you a lecture. You decide what to focus on and what to talk about during each session. And of course, it’s not a one-size-fits-all kind of program. The advice and the support you get are very personalized to your situation.
