The Scam Behind Diabetes ‘Miracle’ ‘GlucoSense’ Supplement Exposed

I’m always on the lookout for someone who says they have the “key” to reversing diabetes. So, when I came across this Facebook ad, I had to listen for a little while.

It was intriguing. They had all the correct elements in there. And it was a long, like a 15-minute-long ad. It was like an infomercial that you couldn’t click away from.

It had the emotional pull of a sick relative. It had an authority figure like Dr. Sanjay Gupta from CNN speaking. It’s scarcity, urgency, bonuses, and all the good marketing stuff built in. Along with testimonies of “real users.”

And they had scientific proof, too. They claimed to have studies showing that they had proven this supplement worked, and 94% of the people who tried their treatment reversed their diabetes. They checked all the boxes for marketing “slickness.”

Sounded amazing. Makes you want to buy a deal. And they had a great deal for a six-month supply. And it all came with a 60-day guarantee. Better yet, if you were one of the first 10 people to buy, they would refund all your money. You’d have a chance to win a spot on a cruise. My goodness!

But what if it was all really just a fake? As I said, it was one of those ads you couldn’t click away from, or you had to start over from the beginning. So you wanted to stay tuned until the end.

This GlucoSense Ad is a Deepfake

But, alas, it was just that—a fake ad for a real product that you could buy with real money. But empty promises all around. There is no way that an extract of Manuka honey and Gymnema sylvestre would reverse diabetes and eliminate the “cause of diabetes”, said to be some miscreant bacteria in certain people. That’s just not possible. And it stretches the imagination even to believe their line about the bacteria in the gut causing insulin not to function.

So, if you go to a Google search or an AI search and search for “Glucosense and Sanjay Gupta”, does he endorse such a thing? You discover that several different supplement fraudsters have targeted him. And he doesn’t endorse any of them. I’m not endorsing Sanjay Gupta as a medical authority figure here, but he’s a pretty level-headed guy.

The Real GlucoSense Product is not a Scam

I just looked up the GlucoSense website. The real GlucoSense product is a legitimate supplement that can help regulate blood sugar. So, not only was this deepfake targeting an authority figure, but they also targeted a valid supplement. GlucoSense contains berberine (like natural metformin), cinnamon bark powder, alpha-lipoic acid, bitter melon extract, gymnema sylvestre, banaba leaf extract, fenugreek seed, and zinc. These are all ingredients, if sourced from reputable, high-quality suppliers, that would help with blood sugar control.

What can we learn from this ad?

Buyer Beware

Well, the first thing is this: “Buyer beware.” If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. All the promises to take one capsule a day, maybe two capsules a day, without changing your diet or your lifestyle, losing 20 pounds, reversing your diabetes, and all your symptoms going away? Yeah, that’s too good to be true, whether it is GlucoSense or a GLP-1 weight loss drug.

Deepfake Videos Are Very Deceptive

Second, you can’t believe everything you see on a video anymore, either. The fakes are pretty good; they’re not perfect, but they’re pretty good.

It sounds like this well-known doctor is telling you a story and promoting this product. And it’s all a fake. So you can’t even go by video anymore because the fakes are pretty good.

Deepfakes Discredit Even Real Solutions

Third, people who claim to have the answer for diabetes but have nothing of the sort make it harder for those of us who actually do have a way to help people reverse type 2 diabetes. When I say you can reverse your diabetes in 60 days, it sounds too much like the people who sell a supplement and say you don’t have to do any work at all.

But our claims are polar opposites. There’s a lot of mindset work and some significant temporary changes in your diet to eliminate diabetes in 60 days. And you have to make some permanent lifestyle changes and dietary habit changes to keep diabetes away. It also makes people reluctant to believe what I say, because I sound too much like a charlatan, like the guy selling GlucoSense with a Sanjay Gupta deepfake.

People Are Desperate for a Diabetes Cure

Fourth, a few people must have bought this, or they wouldn’t have been able to afford the ads. So, people are still gullible. And people still want answers, even unreasonably easy answers, if possible.

Well, I’m here to remind you that there are answers. Still, they’re not as easy as just taking one capsule a day with no other thought about your diet, lifestyle, sleep patterns, stress management, or underlying emotional conditions. The results are attainable, but not without some effort. You can reverse your diabetes in 60 days, but not like that.
